Yes, that’s absolutely right! DirecTV is still on a spree to charge consumers in whatever they can and cheat them whatever be the reason. The company is all set to deceive its subscribers and follow different unethical business practices, hardly realizing that this will not help in the long run. We have already come across several charges against the company, and this one is just another addition. However, we are shocked to know about the inhuman behavior on the part of DirecTV with its respected subscribers.

DirecTV is a leading satellite TV provider in America, which has lately seen many lawsuits, allegations and has also received punishment for the same. However, it seems to have affected its business procedures in no way. It is still continuing with its scams and goof ups. And we cannot just let pass this another complaint. People should definitely know about this allegation as well.

One of the DirecTV subscribers has complained that in spite of cancelling the DirecTV services and repeatedly asking them about the final bill, the satellite TV giant charged him through his debit card. Isn’t this really disheartening? How can a huge company like DirecTV be so careless in its business procedures? Or better still, it did so purposely?

Well, whatever is the reason; the point at present is that the subscriber is facing the brunt with the company. He has called up customer care several times, but they have been of no help to him. He is a loser at present, who has spent longer hours on the phone for several days and has still lost money from his debit card. Even the subscriber is seeking help, for he feels that he did everything that he is supposed to unlike the customer representatives of DirecTV, who are never helpful.

DirecTV Cheat on the Rise

Yes, it is true that scam and deceptions of DirecTV are on the rise. Be it DVR issues, billing issues or customer service complaints, people in the US have had enough of malpractices of DirecTV, which is no doubt, a popular satellite TV service provider in America. People are highly concerned that how can a provider like DirecTV (not to forget its fame due to its numerous packages and hundreds of channels) can cheat its subscriber on such a grand scale? It is really becoming a big issue day by day. However, even after many revelations of scams followed by the company, the problems are increasing with each passing day.

People who have subscribed with DirecTV know best about the different kinds of problems that they had to face with the company. To top it all, they keep trying to reach the DirecTV manager or supervisor, but all goes down the drain. In fact, they are kept on hold for several hours and still they don’t get to talk to them! Truly, subscribers are facing the brunt post enrolling into contract.

Recently, a subscriber has complained that the DVR that was provided by the DirecTV was faulty. It was not operating properly. The customer had to wait for 15 minutes before being able to change the channel. At some time, it even took an hour for them to switch to another channel. They tried calling DirecTV customer service many a times, but they never sent a technician, and always fixed the problem over phone. After troubleshooting, the DVR would work for just two days and then return to same old condition, which was very peculiar. In spite of paying monthly fee to DirecTV along with maintenance charges, the satellite TV giant didn’t help this customer with its defective DVR. It is really pity that the customer is harassed by this company.

DirecTV Lends a Deaf Ear to Senior Citizens

This is true that DirecTV a popular and leading satellite TV provider in the United States of America turns a deaf ear to all the problems and issues faced by senior citizens of the nation. The company is reported to have no effect in spite of repeated phone calls regarding installation charges, which were excessive. This is perhaps another complaint by a subscriber, whose father was charged disproportionately. And to top it all, explanation was not provided to them regarding these undue charges against mere installation process. Although we have known about different complaints and malpractices, this is just another addition to the list. It seems that the company just wanted to extract money from this senior citizen and thereby charged him twice.

To give you the complete information of the incident, the father of the subscriber is a senior citizen. DirecTV was installed in his house, and the technician asked for some extra money. However, when he asked the reason, he was not explained. Moreover, he was also not told anything about the DVR, which was not provided.

A couple of days later, then the subscriber told his father to inquire about the DVR and to his surprise he was told that another $250 will be required for the same. Finally, the subscriber called up the customer services representative to find out the reason for non-delivery of DVR and the excessive charges. However, the rep did not care to offer reasonable explanation, which ultimately proves that DirecTV pays no heed to the needs of senior citizens of the country. This is really disheartening.

In any country, we find companies coming up different schemes exclusively meant for elders of the nation. Whereas, DirecTV on the contrary showed disrespect to senior people, which is just not right on the part of a satellite TV giant. It not only charged elder citizens excessively, but also ill-treated them, which is unethical.
