Owing to its numerous allegations and controversies, which are even at present increasing, DirecTV seem to be completely debacle. In fact, there is yet another complaint against the provider. All these issues are surely affecting the reputation of the company, slowly though. According to this recent allegation, a subscriber has expressed his grief and anger that DirecTV billed him for uninstalled services, which is a sheer portrayal of negligence and carelessness. How can a huge company like DirecTV commit such a blunder with its customers?</p>
<p>Getting to the facts and figures of this horrid incidence, this subscriber has signed up with DirecTV. But installation could not be done due to some HOA approval, which needed 2 months time. And so his services were cancelled, as installation was not done. So, once the approval was received, the subscriber called up for re-instate his account, but nothing could be done by the DirecTV customer care (whom we have known by now as non helpful). However, he was billed for the first month. This was not an issue with him.</p>
<p>Finally, the service was restored but instead of a base package, he had to take the NFL pack, which was a loss for him. To make the matter worse, he was continued to bill for the old service, which was never installed!! His several calls to DirecTV turned futile as nothing was done in his favor. He spent hours on the phone, and every time he was told that a supervisor would get back to him. But unfortunately no one responded. He was continuously billed and double-billed, which was very annoying for him; however, the customer rep could not figure out what was going wrong! As a result, he had to cancel his credit card, which he didn’t want to be charged anymore! Charging him early cancellation fee was the height of DirecTV malpractices, because the company was charging him for the services which he never discontinued, just postponed!</p>

<p>Recently, a consumer has complaint that DirecTV has charged him for the extra channels that are provided with the NFL ticket pack even after cancelling the same. He is feeling depressed and low as to why he was deceived with this NFL ticket. He complaints that as soon as the NFL playoffs began, he immediately called up the satellite TV DirecTV to cancel the extra channels aired with NFL ticket, which was agreed upon by the DirecTV representative over the phone.</p>

Well, yet there are allegations pouring in focusing all the goof ups of DirecTV and bringing to forefront how the company is using customers to its advantage!</p>
<p>In this incident, the consumer has <a href="http://www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/directv-c428482.html">complained</a> that in spite of repeating the fact that he will not be able to afford to more than $29.99 deal, actually it turned out to be something different. While signing up with DirecTV, the consumer had confirmed the monthly rental several times with the customer representative, who said that he will be enrolled into $29.99 offer. The subscriber even explained this clearly that he would not be able to pay anything more than this as a subscription.</p>
<p>In addition, he told them he required 2 receivers within the same price range so that he can watch satellite TV in his bedroom as well. In fact, even to this the DirecTV rep confirmed that he would receive everything within $29.99 and will not be required to pay anything more. According to the consumer, “I questioned this again and explained to him that I didn&#8217;t want any surprises and I didn&#8217;t want to agree to something on the phone and get a bill for something totally different. He assured me that this would not be the case.”</p>
<p>However, even after repeated requests and confirmations, everything was in a topsy turvy, when the installation was completed at his place. When he called up, the DirecTV rep told him that they would not be able to provide him what was agreed to him. This was really upsetting was the consumer. He felt deceived, which he actually was! Now, the problem is that neither he can continue with the services nor can he disconnect DirecTV. And the bill that he received from DirecTV was around $400, which is pretty hefty!</p>

As a result, he immediately cancelled the services. When the company cannot trust its long time consumers, then it cannot expect the same from its subscribers as well. So, in case, you are buying anything from the company through credit card, you should be very careful.</p>

Since 2007, people have continuously alleged the company is goofing up things and misleading them over several issues. For this DirecTV had to settle lawsuits with the Attorney General of 50 States of America by paying a whopping fine. However, till date, a few of the complaints are still coming in regarding DVR receivers, bill settlements, or for programming <a href="http://www.ripoffreport.com/satellite-companies/directv/directv-ripoff-phoenix-arizona-bf6b3.htm">rip-off</a>. The branded company seems to have been listed in the bad books of the subscribers for its various malpractices.</p>
<p>Satellite TV providers like DirecTV are not expected to follow mismanagement and deceptive practices in businesses. In fact, any business organization should keep up with the fair trade policies and consider consumers to be extremely significant. However, DirecTV is taking customers for granted and utilizing them to its advantage. One of the DirecTV subscribers has complained that DirecTV followed programming goof up with them. They had subscribed to some premium packages whereas the company had programmed them with some inferior pack, which came as a jolt for them.</p>
<p>Moreover, when they got the installation, it took the entire day, since the technician was not proficient in his task. To add to the fuel was when they found out two days later that there was some problem with the reception. And while inspecting, they noticed that their satellite dish was old. This really upset them for they had not expected DirecTV, a popular satellite TV provider to rope them into a big time scam, even after paying what was asked of them.</p>
<p>In fact, even after replacing the receiver, the subscriber still had issues with it. He would lose reception for an entire day every week. And when he complained the same to the customer service department of DirecTV, they would always come up that maintenance excuses. Now, the subscriber feels that had he known that several problems would arise with DirecTV, then he would have never subscribed to it.</p>

The company is reported to have no effect in spite of repeated phone calls regarding installation charges, which were excessive. This is perhaps another complaint by a subscriber, whose father was charged disproportionately. And to top it all, explanation was not provided to them regarding these undue charges against mere installation process. Although we have known about different complaints and malpractices, this is just another addition to the list. It seems that the company just wanted to extract money from this senior citizen and thereby charged him twice.</p>
<p>To give you the complete information of the incident, the father of the subscriber is a senior citizen. DirecTV was installed in his house, and the technician asked for some extra money. However, when he asked the reason, he was not explained. Moreover, he was also not told anything about the DVR, which was not provided.</p>
<p>A couple of days later, then the subscriber told his father to inquire about the DVR and to his surprise he was told that another $250 will be required for the same. Finally, the subscriber called up the customer services representative to find out the reason for non-delivery of DVR and the excessive charges. However, the rep did not care to offer reasonable explanation, which ultimately proves that DirecTV pays no heed to the needs of senior citizens of the country. This is really disheartening.</p>
<p>In any country, we find companies coming up different schemes exclusively meant for elders of the nation. Whereas, DirecTV on the contrary showed <a href="http://ecorporateoffices.com/Directv-144">disrespect to senior</a> people, which is just not right on the part of a satellite TV giant. It not only charged elder citizens excessively, but also ill-treated them, which is unethical.</p>
